BUGS
This manpage is confusing.
The POSIX.2 specification of getopt() has a technical error described in POSIX.2 Interpretation 150. The GNU implementation (and probably all other implementations) implements the correct behaviour rather than that specified

Part 2

Scattered daylight paints with blue the sky
But past the fragile veil the teeming void remembers
Before the birth of stars: and sees them die.

Just the beginning....

...and it is all Seanan's fault :)

Part 1:

Musings

Pit like against its opposite
and sketch the truths too small to see.

Above the tunnel burring klystrons gleam
that bunch and drive the beam to meet the curved design
where magnets like shepherds bend, make the course align,
spawned positrons shape to a second beam.

The focused beams of opposites collide:
so great an energy within so small a space!
The tiny tracks it spawns are all that we may trace
To plumb secrets the universe would hide.

These tracks limn what we never see
like puzzle pieces that we fit.
